The best way to is online at the VA website. You can also apply for education benefits by doing any of the following options:
- Visit your nearest VA Regional Office to apply in person.

Students Who Have Received Notice of Educational Benefits Approval from VA:
Students who have already been approved for Educational Benefits merely need to notify the VA that they are changing where they are receiving their education:
Step 3: Getting Started at NU
The NU Veteran's Education Benefits form is required for all students wanting to use their VA benefits at NU. This form will be kept in your file and used in conjunction with your Certificate of Eligibility to get you set up in VA Enrollment Manager. If you have any questions about it, please email veterans@northwestu.edu.
At this point you have applied to NU, you have been admitted to NU and you have already sent your COE to NU’s certifying official.
