Types of Financial Aid for Online Learners
Financial aid can help make college more affordable. ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ has established a financial aid process designed to limit or even eliminate the high costs often associated with college tuition.
Grants
Students who show a direct need for assistance may qualify for grants, such as the Federal Pell Grant, to help support their academic pursuits. Education students may be eligible for the if they sign an or Repay and complete . Grants generally do not have to be paid back to the issuer.
Some Washington state residents may also be eligible for need-based state aid funds including the Washington College Grant, College Bound Scholarship, and/or the Washington Bridge Grant. Ministry majors, minors, and internship credits cannot be pursued while receiving Washington State Aid per state law. The FAFSA can be used to apply for these grants. If you are ineligible for the FAFSA, you may still be eligible for Washington state aid through the .
Military Benefits
Active-duty service members and veterans may be eligible for a variety of education benefits based on their length of service and branch, which can be applied toward a college education. Most military benefits do not have to be repaid. to determine your benefit eligibility.
Federal Loans
Federal financial assistance provides an accessible way to afford your college tuition through low-interest loans; however, they must be paid back after you graduate, or when you leave the university or drop below half-time. Federal Direct Loans are the most common type of federal loans available to students.
Scholarships
Students can earn scholarships offered by civic organizations, religious organizations, and trade associations to help afford college. Some of these outside scholarships may be found at or similar sites.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
