Position Summary
The Associate Director for Educational Programs ensures consistent educational experience across the various programs facilitated by the Center for Online & Extended Education (COEE). This position manages and directly supervises curriculum development, faculty training, and classroom experience across all COEE offered programs. Works closely with Director of COEE to implement new programs and develop new systems that support the overall mission and vision of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE position.
Remote work eligible in WA, ID, MT and OR.
Essential Functions
- Manages and supports the development, review, and assessment of COEE curriculum in collaboration with College Deans and Faculty Leads.
- Continual enhancement of learning management system and other program related systems in collaboration with Director to ensure industry standards and best practices are implemented.
- Oversee quality assurance process for COEE. Monitors student services, faculty hiring and development practices, and classroom experience and addresses escalated issues as needed in collaboration with Director of COEE.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Supervisor and/or management experience required
- 2-3 years experience in online, higher education required
- Preferred experience in curriculum development and implementation in online, higher education.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, violence, and unlawful discrimination.
- Ability to communicate effectively, get along well with co-workers, and deal effectively and professionally with colleagues.
Working Environment
- Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting.
- Some weekend/evening work required.
- Travel, including overnight travel, may be required.
- Position works with strictly confidential information.
- Requires work in outdoor weather conditions, including wet, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
Physical Demands
The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
Compensation
Based on education and experience, the compensation range starts at $24.50/hour to a median of $26.87/hour.
