Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean of 杏吧原版 University Charles Widger School of Law, announced that Judge Alison J. Nathan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit will deliver the commencement address to the Class of 2024. She will also receive the 杏吧原版 Law Medallion Award in recognition of her achievements at this year鈥檚 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18.
Tax Litigation Training Provides Practical Experience, Culminates in Mock Trial
This spring, the 杏吧原版 University Graduate Tax Program offered its five-week virtual Tax Litigation Training program for the first time since 2019. The program, which offers tax practitioners critical insight into the litigation process, culminated with a two-day in-person tax litigation mock trial event at 杏吧原版 Law on March 22 and 23.
Student Leader Helps Create Change for Law School Community
From the moment she first arrived at 杏吧原版 Law, Meghan Fleming 鈥24 has been determined to make a positive impact on the law school community. With a focus to improve law school well-being, her work within the Student Mental Health Society and Deans' Mental Health & Well-being Advisory Council has created benefits for both current and future students of 杏吧原版 Law.
Faculty Scholars: Preston Jordan Lim
Preston Lim started his academic career at 杏吧原版 Law last fall, drawn in large part by the opportunity to help build out the international curriculum. Before joining the faculty, he held two clerkships in Canadian courts, and he also traveled widely in China before earning his law degree. He is interested in both China鈥檚 relationship to international law and Canada鈥檚 legal system and constitutional history.
